Baby P was a 17 month old little boy who sadly died in London after suffering over 50 injuries over
an eight month period.

were received over an eight month period.
His mother, her boyfriend, and their lodger, were all convicted of causing or allowing the death of
a child. Following the conviction, three inquiries and a nationwide review of social service care
were launched.
Baby Peter was seen by GPs, had been admitted to hospital and seen by others doctors and was also
known to social services, yet through an acknowledged catalogue of errors, he was not protected and
on 3 August 2007 he was found dead in his cot.
This tragic story shocked the United Kingdom and his story was been told around the world.

Hello little man. This picture of you always leaves me feeling so sad. You are such a gorgeous little boy, I just want to reach in, gather you up and cuddle you tight x I hope one day, when my time is doen here, you will allow me at least a little cuddle! I do give my boys cuddles and there is always a cuddle for you in there too x I think about you all the time, all the time, I know this time last year I found out about you and the effect on me will last a life time, not all of it is bad either Peter, of course I cried a river of tears and my heart felt like it had been pulled from my chest; but now I have to look at life and see how I can change something, perhaps something small, something that someone else might not see, but my eyes are open and so are my ears and most importantly my heart is ready, I need to get little Luke up and into school, but I will not let your death be in vain, and I know I am happily joined by thousands of people who feel just like me.
I love you little one, I would give anything to hold you tight and smooth over your little curls like I do with Luke x Being a mum is a gift from God, I know it, sometimes it is hard, I can definately admit that, but my children and all children are my responsibility and I will not let any of you down, xxxx

I know your now an angel, laughing and playing and now your safe. To day I read about you, it has taken me a long time to do this, as I am a weak person, and don't like to hear anything like this.I have never forgotten you, I and god know that I lit a candle for your 3rd birthday, and know your birthdate 1.3.07 it will stay with me forever.
